Welcome to Venice.

First Augmented Reality at the Biennale Art Expo 2022

Sarah Montani exhibited her first artwork in augmented reality during Biennale Venice 2022.

On the Screen, you can see the original artwork, made by Sarah Montani with alcohol inks on Yupo Paper. After digitalisation, the artwork has been shaped as a 3D sphere in augmented reality by her cousin Joey Montani aka APTIQ.

The Vernissage took place 14th Mai 2022, Tana Kunstraum, Fondamenta de la Tana 2109A. The first Metasfere was exhibit together with the impressive Artwork of Serena Battisti https://www.instagram.com/serena_battisti8/ and other great finalists of the Artbox Expo.

Sarah Montani X APITQ where the only artists that exhibited artwork in augmented reality during Biennale Venice 2022.

Biennale showed virtual reality in the greek pavillion. The artist and filmmaker Loukia Alavanou invites the public to a utopic voyage through time and space.

Her installation Oedipus In Search of Colonus links the cultural past of classical Greece – especially the work of theatre author Sophocles – to the social reality of today, by showing the desperate existence of Roma communities in Nea Zoi, west of Athens. Loukia Alavanou and her team do so by using futuristic technologies of filmmaking, casting Roma as actors for a Sophocles play, and by creating a dramatic yet intimate atmosphere in the Greek Pavilion, which becomes a self-reflective island in the middle of the world’s biggest exhibition.

Art as an impossible place. Utopia. Congratulation for this great work in virtual reality.

As the artwork of Sarah Montani is «Art to go», it was placed in a lot of spaces next to great artworks at Biennale 2022. Here some impressions of Biennale and Venice. Thanks to all inspirating artists that participated in this project.
