Co-creation

A great power immerges from co-creation. Co-creation empowers the creation of new breakthrough artworks, connected with the latest technology. It transforms the way artist work and share their art with the world. Augemented Reality redefines the way artists engange themselves in co-creation with other artists, but also with art collectors and art lovers.

First Resin Artwork connected to AR of Europe

The Resin Artwork is a physical Artwork, that is quite heavy. With the QR Code you can now access to the Augmented Reality (AR) Artwork. The AR Artwork appears now in our real world, while only being visible with a smartphone. The digital artwork is now "one" with the viewer's smartphone, and yet they are two separate artworks. A polarity between reality and perception is created. You can try and take this artwork into your home. Share the pictures with us. We would love it.

Co-creation with Stefanie Etter

Stefanie Etter is a pioneer of resin art. Until 2016, this medium was largely unknown in Europe. Etter finds her artistic expression and vocation in this medium. Etter has hosted several international exhibitions (including New York) as well as countless solo exhibitions in Germany. She passes on her knowledge of resin at numerous academies, including her own "Etter Art Academy". In 2020, her standard work Resin Kunst was awarded the innovation prize "Creative Impulse 2020" (Creative Book of the Year). In 2021 she combines fluid painting with the possibilities of video art. Her first video installation "Living Colors" will premiere at the SWISS ART EXPO in Zurich. She is thus expanding her work to include a digital dimension. In co-creation with digital pioneer Sarah Montani, two works in augmented reality have now been co-created. Those are the first artworks connected to Augemented Reality of Europe.

They will be shown in Palma de Mallorca 29. October, Casa del Arte, and in December at the Art Fair Miami.

1. Artwork: MINDSPHERES

A recent study from 2021 revealed that we have about 6000 thoughts a day that come and go. Most of the time we don't consciously notice them, but sometimes we do, for example when they keep coming or rob us of sleep.

Augmented reality is extended reality. This kind of art augments our reality, it shows in these artworks the thoughts, this time not in front of our inner eye, but with the eye of the smartphone camera. The spheres symbolize our thoughts.

"Augmented reality art asks us to wake up. It reminds us that there is something other than our individual, practiced perception of reality and our thoughts," says Sarah Montani, "Augmented reality lies between two poles - the tangible world and virtual reality. There we are never just in one reality or the other. But rather in their fusion, that is, infinitely many realities." Just as we are "lost" in thoughts and daydreams from time to time, and then present again.

We can rotate the Mindspheres, move around the thought-construct, or even enter the artwork with our whole body. An all-visibility is created. As if we are in our thoughts, and have it true that we are "lost" in thoughts.

“In the global art market, still only 2% of artworks are traded by women. That is why we chose women for this artwork. So that "one" can think about it.”, says Sarah Montani.

2. Artwork: GENDER DIVERSITY

"In creating this diptych I had polarities of our life in mind, also all the thoughts about gender diversity. Every person should believe in themselves, no matter what worldview, what skin color, what hairstyle. The Ditychon is like a mirror, it is "one" with the viewer, and yet they are two separate works and worlds. This symbolizes the brokenness that we experience again and again. With the cracklepaste I have depicted a kind of "straitjacket", these are our fears and inner and outer constraints that constrict us. I'm making a plea for freedom and trust, and living in a crazy world." says Stefanie Etter.

The Frauenstreick has a new name since 2022. It’s now called Feminist Streick. The Zurich committee explains that this refers to all Flintas. "Flinta" stands for "women, lesbians, intersexual, non-binary, trans and agender persons". A huge effort not to exclude anyone is made today. But are there other people who do not meet the requirement to be named? Is it important to insist on these identity characteristics? What does it do to the person when such characteristics are emphasized? Does the individual dissolve into small-scale identities?

"What is a vision of the common?" asks Sarah Montani. "What unites all of us as human beings is that we all grew in women's bellies. We are also united by the universal claim of human rights that all human beings are born 'free and equal in dignity and rights.'"

"Spheres have always fascinated me, and are visible across all my creative phases. With the Spheres I want to show the unity. I want ot invite that we identify with the unifying idea of being human - away from specific group identities." says Sarah Montani.
